Students choose someone who they thought was a Good Citizen. They wrote a paragraph telling 3 things this person does that shows that they are a Good Citizen. The student added a picture that showed the person acting like a good citizen.

Students participated in a read aloud and discussion about main characters and character traits. Students created a poster that started with them drawing a picture of how they saw themselves as a character. They then chose 2 character traits that they felt described them. They then wrote to tell how they showed that trait in their actions.

Students wrote a letter to the historical figure they researched. They were to include information about his/her invention and how their inventiveness or individualism help change the student's life.

Students made a monster using found materials. They then wrote a descriptive writing piece. They shared their writing with a partner from Mr. Carrillo's class and the partner had to draw their monster based on the students written description.

Students worked in pairs or small groups to researche a National Holiday. They individually created a brochure that would inform others about the holiday. They then presented their brochures to the class.

This rubric is for students who created a doubles story problem that follows those found in the story "Two Of Everything". The student had to write the problem, illustrate it, and solve the problem in at least 3 ways.

Students pre-wrote about 4 Good Citizen traits and behaviors they. They then used this pre-writng to choose someone who they thought was a Good Citizen. They created a poster showing their person acting like a Good Citizen. They also wrote a paragraph about how their Good Citizens showed the traits and behaviors.
