This rubric is used for a one point perspective city or landscape drawing.

TV sitcom presentation
Make a presentation (Media Literacy; Oral Communication) about the sitcom you chose. In your presentation you will answer questions from your planning sheet (April 15th). You are encouraged to include additional information about your sitcom. You can IF YOU WANT (optional) write and perform part of an episode from your sitcom with two other classmates. You can also show a 10 minute clip from your sitcom in your presentation. Presentations will be from Monday, May 1 to Friday May 10th.

Poster rubric for a Canadian Prime Minister
The students will complete a poster for Black History month. The poster will contain information about a Black History topic of their choice. It will be designed on paper provided by me. Bhaduri: Movie Poster Based on your reading response book
Pretend your book has been made into a movie. Create a POSTER to advertise your "movie"(book). Your poster should be easy to read. Your poster must be on at least 34 x 45 cm size paper (or larger). South Asian Literature Media Literacy Project & Presentation
Students will work to create a "tapestry" on a board, which will show the beginning, middle, and end of a story from South Asian literature. Total Marks: /60 Note: Technology can be used instead! (powerpoint, Prezi, Explain Everything, etc.) Producing Media Texts (from the curriculum) 3.4 students in grade 7 will produce a variety of media texts of some technical complexity for specific purposes and audiences, using appropriate forms, conventions, and techniques.

Placemat Project: Canadian History
Create a placemat demonstrating your understanding of one of (a) the Battle of Detroit (b) Sir Isaac Brock (c) Tecumseh , or (d) General William Hull. Do a rough copy first, and show me. Grade 7 Geography Task. The Five Themes of Geography.
Tourism, the Wonders of the World, and the Five Themes of Geography. You may sign out a textbook (unit 1) to review the five themes, (Place, Movement, Environment, Interaction, Region). Your finished product is in a format of your choice. You must submit a separate notebook on Feb 1 (7A) or Feb. 6 (7B). You will be given 6 class periods to work on your project. 7A presentations start Feb. 1 7B presentations start Feb. 6th. Total Marks = /80.

Placemat Rubric: Tecumseh and General William Hull
Placemat rubric for Tecumseh and General William Hull. Students are working in groups; each student will get a mark. The total mark is /40 for each student. You will also get a group work mark out of /10. You are responsible for point form notes from the text, which will form the basis of your next test.
