This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The students will work to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to their assigned Recipe in English. Ingredients; Instructions/Steps. Students will collect pictures and other artifacts for their poster to create a creative and colorful poster. The poster will be designed on a single sheet of poster paper.

Summer School Math Portfolio Rubric

Used for students' work when integrating writing into a book that has been read aloud. Focuses on some 3rd grade reading standards.

Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.

The purpose of this rubric is to give students the expectations for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. The student will compare and contrast the of "Cinderella" and the South African story of "Natiki". In preparation for this assignment, the student will have had instruction in the writing process, sentence structure, capitalization, end marks, and read both stories.

Students will describe a place of their choice by using four of their five senses to create a descriptive essay.
