Black History Month Biographies
For Black History /Women's History Months, the student is to research a chosen African-American or woman, and then write a REFLECTION about the important historical figure. This biography includes information about the person's life, what led them to their chosen career or purpose, what contributions they made to society, interesting or unique facts about the person, and possibly the student's own reflections about the impact that the person and their contributions have on modern times.

Famous Hispanic/Latino in Power (government)
Students will research using the given biography websites the contributions to government of a famous Hispanic/Latino American. They will write a *short biography* about the person and list important details about their political career; e.g: bills introduced in Congress, community/citizenship involvement, position in different topics: education, immigration, environment, etc

Women's History Month Biography
For Women's History Month, the students are to read passages/ Biographies on a variety of famous women. Their final project will consist of a biography that should include information on the person's early life, what led her to her chosen career or purpose, what contributions she made to society, any interesting or unique facts about the person, and the student's own reflections about the impact that the person and her contributions have on modern times.

Ancient China Collage Project
The students will choose a specific topic to research in Ancient China. During their research they will choose photographs that show detail about their topic. Student will build a collage that is shaped like their topic and give details about each photograph present.

Each student will be partnered with another student from the class. Together they will work on developing a collage to support or describe a specific right or freedom from the "Bill of Rights." Each group will then have the opportunity to illustrate their poster to the class in a presentation.
