Poetry Slam

Using your personal experiences, create a timeline of your life. The timeline is to be from your birth date to this current year. You must include at least 10 personal events. You will use several (3 or more) illustrations or photos to help identify these special events. Your timeline must be organized, neat and accurate.

Design a sculpture illustrating a character or a specific scene from the book.

Students will create an advertisement for a new product that they have created. Advertisements should include content & usefulness of a advertising technique. Students will also provide a sale pitch their knowledge of the advertising technique. Tell WHAT the purpose of the advertisement is. Decide how best you can persuade buyers to purchase your product.

Create a book report using a paper bag. The bag must contain at least 10 objects that represent important events from the book. Each item needs to be symbolic of a main character, setting, problem, or event in the story.

Create a board game based one of the novels on your Independent Reading Project list. Please see specific project details and requirement on the board game information sheet, which was presented with this rubric.
