Musical Instrument Report
Students will choose an instrument from a list provided by the teacher. Many of these instruments are from other countries around the world and have special purposes in their countries. You will research the instrument, answer questions, and prepare your report to be displayed and presented to your music class. The final project should include all information from your research, sources you used, and should be in the form of a poster, essay, power point (slide show), or picture book.

Musical Group Composition and Performance
Students will compose a short piece of music (30 seconds to a minute), in a small group. The piece of music will include a rhythm, using rhythm instruments or body percussion, or both. The piece of music must also include a melody, which can be played on melody instruments or sung, or both. All music must be written on paper, using staff paper for music notation. Groups must perform their project at the Spring Music Program.

The Chocolate Touch Timeline
Directions: Students are to create a timeline concerning important events from the book, The Chocolate Touch. The timeline should include the main events from each of the 12 chapters of the book. Each event should include a details, such as main characters and important details about the plot of the story and how John's problem is getting progressively worse. There should be a picture of each event. Projects should be neat and easy to understand.
