My Short-term goals

*Do my absolute best in every class and take full responsibility for my grades whether good or bad.

*Start doin assignments ahead of time instead of procrastinating then not doing  my best work on an assignment.

*Get at least a "B" average in all my classes this semester.

*Make some good friends at school that I can have a good time with but will not hinder me in my academics.

                                                ~Reflection~

These were some goals that I set at the beggining of my first semester in college, and I feel like for the most part I've done a decent job.  I think the hardest one for me to keep so far has been my goal to not procrastinate.  I have always struggled with it, and it seems no matter how hard I try I just can't seem to overcome it.  I thought it would be a struggle to get a grade of at least "B" in all my classes after the first couple tests in Sociology.  I've stepped it up and studied harder for the tests and took advantage of everything I could to improve my essays.  I now have a solid "C" and if I can keep up the pace of my last couple essays and my last test I may actually end up with the "B" I was hoping for.  Overall I feal pretty good about how I have kept up with my goals and completed them so far.

* Keep my GPA at TCTC above 3.0 to remain eligible for LIFE scholarship, and to increase my chances of being accepted as a transfer student into Clemson.

* Get into Clemson University's Civil Engineering Program.

* Get a job as an intern at some point during my schooling to increase my chances of getting a good job when i complete my degree.

* Graduate from Clemson with a bachlor's degree in Civil Engineering.

* Get a well-paying job.

* Buy a house (my dream is to live close to the ocean someday)

* Get married and live a comfortable life.

                                                   ~Reflection~

     I find it difficult to make really long term goals because I am a very realistic person.  I usually keep my goals short term and resonable because if I look too far into the future I tend to get somewhat depressed.  That's why my goals basically stop after I graduate because who knows what God has in store for me by then.  The goals that I have after graduation are very important to me and are the main reason that school is important to me.  They are realistic and definately achievable, and basically all my other long and short term goals are things that are necessary to accomplish my goal of living a comfortable life.
