ABOUT ME

My name is Durrell Mast, and I’m 19 years old.  I am a Christian and God is a very important part of my life.  I would be nothing without Him, and I try to live for Him no matter what others think of me.  I was born and raised in Fair Play, SC.   I went to a small private school, Fair Play Christian School, and really didn’t enjoy school too much mainly because of how small it was.  I graduated from high school in 2005, and started working construction.  I’ve done roofing, vinal siding, electrical, and some framing, and through this experience decided I didn’t want to work on construction crews my whole life.  So, this fall (2008), I started college at Tri-County Technical College.  I’m planning to transfer to Clemson eventually to major in Civil Engineering.  I am currently working at Yoder's Building Supply in Fair Play doing framing take-offs (figuring up how much lumber is needed to build a house). 

PERSONALITY

I’m a very analytical person, and I think everything through before I do it.  I tend to overthink things and do more than I'd have to, but I'd much rather do it right the first time than have to do something twice.  I’m a loyal friend, and people tell me I’m a good listener, but I don’t really open up to many people.  I'm quiet and stay to myself until you get to know me, then you can't get me to shut up. 

HOBBYS
I like hanging out with friends, and meeting new people.  I enjoy playing sports: basketball, football, softball, tennis, etc.  I also enjoy wakeboarding and snowboarding although I don’t get to go nearly as often as I would like.  I absolutely love the ocean, and my dream is to live close to the beach someday.  Music is my getaway.  It’s a great stress reliever for me.  I've bin playing acoustic guitar on an off since I was 8, and I also have an electric guitar but I’m much better at acoustic.  My favorite band is probably Breaking Benjamin although I love many kinds of music including rock, country, Christian, hip-hop, and rap.  I don’t think I could really live without music.  I'd love to play in a band someday, but I doubt it'll ever happen.  I enjoy watching college football and basketball.  The Clemson Tigers are the best!
