Patient Care

Patient Care

The goal for all patients is to provide them the gold standard of patient care. At RCC's Dental  Hygiene program, patient care involves every aspect of the patient's health starting with the thorough and detailed medical and dental history review to complete clinical and radiographic assessments. Once all evaluations have been completed, the patient's dental health is taken in to consideration to formulate an individualized and customized treatment plan to bring each patient to oral health. Clinical assessments involve visible gingival and external head and neck examination, periodontal evaluation through probing, recession and furcation involvment, and mobility to name a few. Radiographic evaluation incorporates periodontal bone health through the assessment of the alveolar crest, lamina dura, and periodontal ligament space. At this time, any dental anomolies or abnormalities are also noted so that future evaluation can determine any progression or changes.
