Mrs. Gillaspie's CCS Class Pages

About Mrs. G.

Obviously I like math and the sciences, but my general education clusters were in anthropology, history, and medieval literature. I'm especially interested in the period of history from the first century Roman Empire and the spread of the early church to the European late medieval period and the Celts and Britons' role in re-evangelizing the European continent.

I am a voracious reader, and at any given moment will often have a medieval translation, a fantasy book, and a non-fiction book "going" at the same time.

I enjoy cooking & baking (and unfortunately eating all that good food) as well as gardening, when I'm home. I practice yoga for stress relief and hope to begin Tai Chi this winter. Music is an important part of my life. I love to sing, and I listen to lots of different kinds of music. I used to play several instruments, and I'm feeling the urge to get back to them.

Given the opportunity (as well as the dollars), I would head back to university full-time in an instant for another degree or two because learning is fun. However, my real dream is to enter the foreign missionary field in some way, probably as a teacher or librarian in a missionary or English language school and then help in the local congregation of the Lord's church.

God has led me to many interesting places; the best is yet to come!
