Travel Briefing PowerPoint Presentation

Research a country from the list below. You must have teacher approval for the country you select.

1. Research the country you have selected. Prepare a travel briefing presentation for a group of high school students who will be travelling out of the country on their senior class trip. They will be gone for a 6 week period in the summer and need help in planning their trip. Your report should include information concerning the geography of the country you have selected (climate, environment, cultural practices, religions, dress requirements, food, money and costs, attractions, cities, transportation, etc). Include any safety warnings, health risks, and visa requirements.

2. Reports will be in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation will included a minimum of 12 slides (not including title and reference slides) and should include the information listed above. The title slide should include the following: Title of your report, name, class name, block#, and date.

3. Reports will be evaluated for adequacy of research, geographic content, organization, and writing, spelling and grammatical usage. You must havea minimum of three maps of the area (cite map source). Be creative. Submit your presentation in a hard copy (printed slides), and on either a flash drive or through e-mail transmission.

4. Properly cite all information you use in your presentation. You should have a bibliography slide at the end of the presentation. References should be single-spaced with a double space between them and should be alphabetized by the first author's surname.

5. Ask the teacher if you have questions. It is your responsibility to ask if you need assistance or do not understand any part of the assignment.
