Universal healthcare is being demanded by Americans, yet it is not required for healthcare workers, such as sonographers, to be liscensed.  This project consists of three parts.  First, we aim to educate the public.  At Armstrong Atlantic State University, the ultrasound program mandates the students to become registered before graduating.  We take our national boards in place of university exit exams.  We strive to educate the community that sonographers are not required to become registered before practicing in Georgia.  Second, we will push for support through petitioning.  Finally, we will send Don Thomas, state senator and chairmen of the Health and Human Services Committee, Johnny Isakson, Georgia US senator, and the U.S. Health and Human  Services Department.
