Introduction to principles and instructional procedures related to classroom management, instructional planning, and the assessment of learning as applicable across grade levels and subject matter fields.

 

EDUC 490A Special Studies in Education (3 credits)(A+ 99%)

Course description:This practical hands-on course will introduce the participants to the many Information Technology and Internet resources that are available for today's classroom. Software, digital media and internet resources will be introduced and discussed.

Objectives:

1) to introduce participants to practical ideas that work integrating technology and the internet into the classroom.

2) to introduce participants to the many technology and internet resources that are helpful in the classroom

3) to introduce participants to effective matching between technology and internet resources in the classroom

4)to introduce participants to digital media and it's uses in the classroom

5)to have participants create useful technology resources to use in their classrooms

 

LING 420  Introduction to Linguistics (6 credits)(B+ 68%)

General background to linguistic studies; the different approaches to the analysis of languages; synchronic and diachronic linguistics; phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics.

 

EPSE 317 Development and Exceptionality in the Classroom (3 credits)(Pass) 

Course Description EPSE 317 will explore the major developmental and special educational issues and problems that occur within the regular classroom.

Theories of learning and instruction; principles and practices in the assessment of classroom learning.

 

EDUC 316 Communication Skills in Teaching (3 credits)(Pass)
