It wasn't until my junior year in high school when I decided that Elementary Education was the correct career path for myself. The reason I became interested in Elementary Ed. is mostly due to my experience as a Panther Pal at my high school. Panther Pals is a program where a high school student buddies up with an elementary student and throughout the school year participate in many organized events together, such as; food drives, ice skating, and lunch-ins. Through this experience I became very close to several students from a local elementary school and it occured to me what wonderful and exciting little beings they were. At that moment it became my objective to work with these children at an elementary level and be the teacher that makes a difference in their lives.
