Mary Kate Donovan

President

Mary Kate Donovan is a 3L JD/MBA student, in addition to being President of NWLSA, she is also an active member of the Suffolk Public Interest Law Group and is Secretary of the Business Law Association. Prior to attending Suffolk Law, Mary Kate graduated from Rollins College in 2007 with a degree in International Business and a minor in Spanish. During her undergraduate career Mary Kate was an active member of student government and a four year NCAA athlete. She has interned with private firms in the Boston area in addition to the Federal Aviation Administration General Counsel's Office and participating in the Department of Transportation's General Counsel's 2009 internship program in Washington, DC. Mary Kate is an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and Special Olympics. She is excited to be transitioning from Public Relations Coordinator of NWLSA to President and is looking forward to this upcomming year!

Noël Barnes

Treasurer

Noël Barnes graduated from Fairfield University in 2004 with a BS in Finance.  She spent 4 years in the financial services industry (in CT and NYC) working in sales, trading and compliance.  During her first year at Suffolk, Noël worked closely with NWLSA helping to organize events, including the inaugural alumni event.  For summer 2009, Noël is working at the Boston Options Exchange as a legal intern, as well as, performing legal research in the area of corporate responsibility. 

 

Courtney Madden

Special Programs Coordinator

Courtney Madden went to Catholic University of America, graduating in 2004 as Political Science major concentrating on Education Policy.  She worked for the three years prior to coming to SULS as a Senior Conference Coordinator for a DC non-profit education consortium running weeklong conferences for MBA students and corporations from all over the country, Germany, and China.  In addition, Courtney worked for a private DC event planning firm running the gambet of fundraisers to weddings to PR events. She looks forward to bringing her experience to NWLSA and building on our already stellar programing!

Lauren Nyren

Alumni Liason

Lauren Nyren is currently a 3L. She earned her BS in Marketing Communcations from Emerson College in 2005. Before coming to Suffolk Law, she worked as the Field and Communications Assistant for the Justice at Stake Campaign in Washington, D.C. for a year. She has interned with Senator Edward M. Kennedy's Office, the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, and the Massachusetts Civil Service Commission. Lauren is also a huge fan of the Boston Bruins.

 

Jessie Pellegri St. John

Women's Bar Association Liason

Jessie Pellegri St. John attended UMass Amherst for her undergraduate degree, graduating in 2007 with a double major of political science and psychology. She currently works for a domestic relations attorney in downtown Boston. Jessie hopes to work in this field when she graduates.  Also, she is a newly wed and she loves the Red Sox!
