About Me

I am a mother of two, married and I speak fluent French, Creole, English and a strong familiarity with Spanish. I presently hold a bachelor degree in French, and while I have an ESL endorsement, I am in the verge of earning a Masters degree in Art in Teaching Foreign Language in French/ESOL as soon as I complete the internship. I am currently enroll in the Reading program at Lee School District.
My career as a teacher began in my second year of college. Since then I have been substituting in two different counties, for the past three years, which gave me the confidence and the desire to be in a classroom as a regular teacher.  I have gained the tools on how to be an effective teacher and I am aware of the challenges that I will face and I know how to avoid them.  I have learned teaching strategies and techniques to stimulate my students to become proficient in assimilating a second language. I have also taught and tutor during my practicum field experience, I have developed a few lesson plans as models for both secondary and elementary level and I also have video of myself teaching. The thought of being a teacher is exiting to me and I will enjoy contributing in the education of another.
