Buddy Program 2007

 

During the Fall semester of 2007 in Taylor's College, I volunteered to join the Buddy Program. The program was still in its pilot stage and I did help out in planning it during the Summer semester. It was a program initiated to help those who have just graduated from high school to accomodate to college life.

  

In the program, I was selected as Buddy Leader, with a few Senior Buddies and Junior Buddies under my management. I was in charge in recruiting Senior Buddies and also to help with data collection. I was also one of the Buddies, therefore I also had a few freshman as my Junior Buddy. We met on orientation day and became friends. This Buddy Program has really helped me out alot in terms of learning new social skills, refining some of my management and organization skills.
