Professional Knowledge
Professional knowledge enables teachers to offer current and effective teaching practices in their classroom. It is there responsibility to prepare their students for academic success, as well as to assist their students when they are experiencing difficulties. I have included an outline of the EQAO assessment in this section of the website because as a cumulative assessment, it affects all members of a school team. The information regarding struggling readers is specific to the board where I work, but it contains basic guidelines on identifying, and helping struggling readers.
