Pitch/Intonation	Exemplary The student performed all notes correctly.	Proficient The student performed the scale with 1 or 2 errors.	Developing The student performed with 3 - 5 errors.	Beginning The student performed with more than 5 errors.
Rhythmic Accuracy	Exemplary Rhythm was steady and accurate. Tempo was reasonable.	Proficient Rhythm was mostly steady with one or two errors. Tempo was reasonable.	Developing Rhythm was somewhat steady with three or four errors. Tempo was reasonable.	Beginning Rhythm was unsteady and had five or more errors. Tempo was too slow.
Tempo	Exemplary Tempo is steady throughout selection.	Proficient Tempo is mostly steady throughout the selection, with one or two errors.	Developing Tempo is somewhat steady, with three or four errors. Please maintain a steady pulse throughout.	Beginning Tempo is not steady. Please maintain a steady pulse throughout by tapping your foot to the beat.
