Diorama Diorama The student will create a Diorama which includes a favorite scene in the book and a written report describing in 1 paragraph each, the setting, important characters, story plot, and what they thought about the book (favorite part, would you recommend it to a friend, who would enjoy it, etc). Some different colors were used. Almost all items were neat and securely attached. Multiple layers.	Fair Diorama is attractive. Very few colors were used. Not all items were securely attached and is a bit messy. Could have 2 layers.	Poor Diorama is poorly constructed. Almost no color used. Almost all of the items are not securely attached.
Diorama Theme	Excellent Diorama depicts a scene from the book clearly. You can tell the characters and the landscape is from the book.	Good Diorama somewhat depicts a scene from the book. You can tell characters and landscape are from the book.	Fair You can not easily distinguish the scene as one from the book. Characters and landscape are not very recognizable.	Poor Diorama does not depict a scene from the book.
Written Report	Excellent Each paragraph responds to each topic clearly. Paragraphs are well formed. It is clear the student read the book and understood it. Neat writing.	Good Each paragraph responds to a topic with little details. At least one paragraph is not well formed. It is clear the student read the book. Legible writing.	Fair Not all topics were responded to. It appears the student read most of the book, but might not understand it. Legible writing.	Poor Report does not respond to the topics. Does not appear the student read or understood the book.
