Author's Research Project RESEARCH PROJECT:Author's Research Project Students will research the life of an American author and explore four pieces of information that the author could have possibly used to help them write. The pieces of literature can be based on factual information or based on published pieces during the author's literary period that may have had an influence on the author's writing. Research Project

Information	Below Standard Student does little research but only provides the author's background.	Approaching Standard Student does some research, provides the author's background and some information about literature from the author's literary period.	Meeting Standard Student does research on an author, explains the author's life in detail and provides some information about literature from the author's lifetime.	Exceeding Standard Student does research on the author and explains the author's life in detail. The student also identifies important information about author based on their research.
Directions	Below Standard Student does not follow the directions and only completes one part of the assignment. Work is not typed.	Approaching Standard Student follows some directions and completes two parts of the assignment. Work is not typed.	Meeting Standard Student follows all directions and completes each part of the assignment. Work is typed.	Exceeding Standard Student follows all directions and completes each part of the assignment in detail. Work is typed.
