Participation	Poor Does not participate during the activity. Shows little interest.	Fair Sometimes participates during the activity. Needs to be reminded to stay on task.	Good Always participates during the activity. Shows interest, and is eager to answer questions.
Completion	Poor Does not complete any of the assignments in the allotted time.	Fair Completes some of the assignment in the allotted time.	Good Completes all of the assignment in the allotted time.
Technique/Skill	Poor Does not identify the words correctly. Is unable to recognize the difference between the short "o" and long "o" words.	Fair Sorts most of the words correctly. Had trouble distinguishing a few of the short "o" and long "o" words.	Good Sorts all words correctly. Knows how to recognize the short "o" and long "o" words.
Writing Sentences	Poor Student was able to use at least three words in a sentence.	Fair Student was able to use at least five words in a sentence.	Good Student was able to use at least seven words in a sentence.
