Compare/Contrast Essay: First Thanksgiving/My Thanksgiving 
The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. The student will compare and contrast the slideshow and read aloud of "The First Thanksgiving" to their Thanksgiving celebration. In preparation for this assignment, the student will have had instruction in the writing process, sentence structure, capitalization, end marks, and specific vocabulary words.
