Major Regions of the US Project Students will create a powerpoint, brochure, poster, or other type of project describing one of the major regions of the US, including landmarks. In accordance with Objective 1 for lesson: 1. The sixth grade students will be able to distinguish major landforms and bodies of water in the Western Hemisphere with a 90% accuracy. Excellent Student's have excellent organization. All information is appropriate with no clutter or crowding. Theme is clearly stated. No spelling errors.
Presentation	Basic Student's clearly display their project but do little to explain their region to the class, less than 5 minutes presenting.	Very Good Student's clearly display their project and give a good overview of their region to the class, 5-7 minutes presenting.	Excellent Student's clearly display their project and give a through explanation of their region to the class, 7-10 minutes presenting.
Participation	Basic Scored Individually Student contributed a few ideas, helped with some of the planning and preparing of project, added little during the presentation.
