Ideal A
The maxillary wax rim should overlap by 1 to 2 mm thought out the arch.
To determine the plane of the occlusion :
Camper line parallel to tragus -ala nose. (using tongue depressor)
Fox plane parallel to the Interpupillary line.
Acceptable B
Minor discrepancies from ideal criteria which will not compromise the quality and function of the complete denture.
Modifications C
Maxillo-Mandible records are adequate to make clinically acceptable complete dentures ,but marginally so. Plane of the occlusion and occlusion maxillary rim beyond ideal criteria.

Determine VDO/VDR

Using provided jigs determine first VDR and reduced 2-3 mm of the lower wax rims from the VDR position.
Acceptable B
Minor discrepancies from ideal criteria which will not compromise the quality and function of the complete denture.
Modifications C
Reduction of wax inaccurate and more than 3mm or less than 2mm.
Clinically Unacceptable E
VDR/VDO inaccurate.
Centric Relation
Ideal A
Before taking the CR record : The wax rims (U/L) should be completely flat and in contact.
V shapes index on the maxillary and mandibular rims
Blue mousse material thin over the center of the wax rims and dentoforms close down in contact.
Acceptable B
Minor discrepancies from ideal criteria which will not compromise the quality and function of the complete denture.
Modifications C
Centric relation record is very thick and excessive that can compromise the accuracy of the record.

Centric Relation records inaccurate.
