Condition	Poor I lost my journal, it's ripped, broken, or otherwise in poor condition.	Fair My journal is messy and hard to navigate.	Good I keep my journal is good condition with labels, dates, and my teacher can access my work easily.	Excellent I keep my journal is excellent condition with labels, dates, and my teacher can access my work easily.
Journal Entries	Poor I didn't write the target or an answer...	Fair I sometimes forget to write the target or my answer doesn't match it.	Good I write the "Learning Target" daily and my responses matches the target most of the time.	Excellent I write the "Learning Target" daily and my responses always match the target. I make sure to add evidence to prove that my response matches the target.
Other	Poor I have to work on adding the strategies into my journal.	Fair I sometimes add strategies Mrs. Cat shows me, and try to use them, but not always.	Good I create/draw strategies from the anchor charts, and spelling strategies AND use them when needed.
