Students will create an original short story. The story must have a definite beginning, middle, and an end. Keep your story relatively short with a minimum of 4 paragraphs. Use one of the methods used to generate writing writing to gather ideas for your story and hand in a draft for teacher editing. The final copy will be marked on proper paragraph form, grammar/mechanics and content in a short story form.

A partial revision was attempted. Few teacher's comments were considered in the final version.

One revision was completed and the teacher's comments were considered in the final version.

Student revised repeatedly or extensively. Many of the teacher's comments were considered in the final version.
