Fair Made up to ten spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.	Poor Made more than ten spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.
Writing Ideas Includes interesting and informative details.	Excellent Writing had quality details which were interesting and supported the explanation.	Good Writing had many details that supported the explanation.	Fair Writing had few details that supported the explanation.	Poor Writing had no details.
Vocabulary Vocabulary makes sense.	Excellent Used at four or more scientific vocabulary words that helped support your explanation.	Good Used at three scientific vocabulary words that helped support your explanation.	Fair Used two scientific vocabulary words that helped support your explanation.	Poor Used one or less scientific vocabulary words to help support your explanation.
Behavior Follows instructions and directions.	Excellent Paid close attention to instructions, and asked questions when needed. Followed all directions.
