Fabrication fundamentals 5 pts Fabrication Procedures & Layout Methods.	Fair Has some understanding of procedures and attempts fabricating parts of project within plan tolerances.	Good Has a good understanding of procedures and is able to create a piece that partially fits a larger project	Excellent Fully understands procedures. Is capable of designing and layout of pieces to fit as an integral part of a bigger project
Quality Control 5 pts Quality of workmanship	Fair Not very particular with how the product looks or how well it functions. Does only what is absolutely necessary. Does not pay attention to details.	Good Likes to see a finished and functional product at the end of fabrication. Will leave items out even though there is time to correct.	Excellent Takes pride in his/her work. Keeps trying working until problems are figured out and the desired results are achieved. Pays attention to the small details.
Material Control 5 pts Material optimization and material planning.	Fair Materials are wasted, but with a little planning of materials usage Utilized twice the amount of material than allotted	Good Less wastage, minimum materials planning.	Excellent Materials are used to maximum capacity and proper planning of materials
Tool Usage 5 pts Ability to utilize tools to create a product	Fair Student is able to utilize the tools to, create a product but does not maintain consistent proper usage which effects final product outcome drastically.	Good Project shows the student needs some more help understanding how to use the tools properly to have a well produced product. Welds may have gone through and some bends were not accurate	Excellent Project shows the student has a full understanding on proper use of the tools Welds, bends, and cuts are all done properly and are accurate
Accuracy / Measurement 5 pts Ability to use measurement tools to maintain accuracy	Fair Project shows student is not utilizing the measurement tools properly. Project accuracy is sub par	Good Project shows student is not utilizing proper measurement techniques all of the time. Overall project accuracy is acceptable	Excellent Student shows ability to utilize measurement devices to create a product that is accurate to the technical drawing.
