Beginner

Kicks the ball with no regards to control of direction or force.
Intermediate

Kicks the ball towards partner. Kicks ball with necessary force at least 50% of the time.
Advance

Kicks ball directly to partner in right direction while moving with enough force 90% of time. Keeps the ball on the ground.
Expert

Kicks ball directly to partner or in right direction while moving with adequate force 90%+ of time. Eyes are not focused on the ball.
Shooting

Beginner

Aiming skill has not yet been mastered, Student has no success with shooting the soccer ball into targeted goal
Intermediate

Student kicks to targeted goal at least 50% of the time. Student sometimes controls the ball when kicking.
Advance

Student can control where the ball is kicked at least 75% of the time.
Expert

Student shoots successfully to set target at least 90% of the time. Kicks are fast and without much effort.
Dribbling the ball

Beginner

Student uses toes to kick the ball in front of them and does not go in a straight line. The student is constantly chasing after the ball.
Intermediate

Student uses only one foot to kick the ball forward and chases after the ball. Student sometimes runs over the ball.
Advance

Student kicks the ball within 1 yard ahead of them with each pass. They use both feet and only the inside or outside of their foot. The student goes in straight line to the finish point a a fairly fast pace.
Expert

Student kicks the ball within 1 yard ahead of them with each pass. They use both feet and uses both the inside and outside of their feet. The student goes in a straight line to the finish point in a very fast pace.
Passing the ball to a Partner

Beginner

Student passes the ball with their toes and "pushes" the ball rather than kicks the ball. The ball goes nowhere near the target. The ball bounces for most of the pass.
Intermediate

Student passes the ball with their toes and "pushes" the ball rather than kicks the ball. The ball goes toward the target but is off by a few feet. The ball bounces for most of the pass.
Advance

Student passes the ball within a foot to their partner. Student sometimes uses the inside of their foot. Ball bounces on the ground through some of the pass.
Expert

Student passes the ball right on target (making it so that the partner does not have to move). Student uses the inside of their foot. Ball does not leave the ground.
Kicking from a stationary position

Beginner

No steps are taken to kick ball and kick is made with toe. Shot has no accuracy.
Intermediate

Steps are taken, but balance is off and kick is made with toe or side of foot with little to no follow through. Shot is accurate 25% of the time.
Advance

Student's leg is bent at the knee and arm swing helps with follow through and distance of kick.
Plant foot is around the ball but not in the proper spot
Contacts the ball with the instep
Average contact with ball and is accurate 50% of time.
Expert

Student's leg is bent at the knee before kick. Correct arm action helps with the force and accuracy.
Plant foot is next to ball
Follows through with kicking leg
Contacts the ball with the instep
Good contact with ball and eyes on target. Has 90% accuracy with kick.
Teamwork

Beginner

-The student does not show any teamwork.
-Students know about teamwork but doesn’t show
Intermediate

Student sometimes shows teamwork attributes.
Advance

The student shows teamwork attributes most of the time.
Expert

The student always shows teamwork attributes.
