Skill Development	4 Student can (1) identify a problem (real or hypothetical); (2) identify the root cause of the problem; (3) develop 2-3 solutions to the problem; and (4) determine possible consequence to not solving the problem.	3 Student can determine only three of the following: (1) identify a problem (real or hypothetical); (2) identify the root cause of the problem; (3) develop 2-3 solutions to the problem; and (4) determine possible consequence to not solving the problem.	2 Student can determine only two of the following: (1) identify a problem (real or hypothetical); (2) identify the root cause of the problem; (3) develop 2-3 solutions to the problem; and (4) determine possible consequence to not solving the problem.	1 Student can determine only one or none of the following: (1) identify a problem (real or hypothetical); (2) identify the root cause of the problem; (3) develop 2-3 solutions to the problem; and (4) determine possible consequence to not solving the problem.
Cues Needed	4 Student is able to independently perform all four steps with no adult cueing.	3 Student needs only one type of cueing to correctly perform skills (e.g. a visual cue, a verbal cue, restate directions one time, etc).	2 Student needs multiple cueing (either frequent repetition of one type of cue or combination of cueing types).	1 Student needs full support from adults for success. Needs multiple prompts/cues used (auditory, visual, gestural, written, modeling, etc.)
