Use of varying techniques	Poor Student only utilized one technique on their test tiles.	Good Student utilized only two or three techniques on their test tiles.	Excellent Student used four or more different glaze techniques on their test tiles.
Documentation	Poor Student made little or no effort to document which methods were used and which glaze colors were used.	Good Student documented some of the techniques and colors used, but not in full detail.	Excellent Student documented all of the techniques and colors used in great detail.
Craftsmanship	Poor Glaze is applied unevenly, brushstokes are apparent, or glaze is applied in a careless manner.	Good Glaze is applied evenly for the most part, with a few imperfections.	Excellent Glaze is applied smoothly and evenly with little or no imperfections.
Color layering	Poor Student made little or no attempt to experiment with the layering of different glaze colors.	Good Color layering is apparent in one or two test tiles, but not in an experimental manner.	Excellent Student experimented with color layering in most or all of their test tiles. The colors create depth and interest.
