Appearance	Excellent Student work was original, legible, and neat. The teacher wants to keep the work as an example of what student work should look like.	Fair Student work was original, legible, and neat, but could have been improved.	Poor Student work was not very original, legible, or neat.
Cause and Effect	Excellent A specific example from the book was included, and both the cause and the effect were included.	Fair A specific example from the book was included, but either the cause or the effect was not included.	Poor An example was given, but they were not related to each other.
