Approaching
Student is unable to identify or explain concepts without major prompting. Requires a lot of assistance to get job done. Uses very little vocabulary to describe the task.
Beginning
Student is not able to both identify and explain major theories/task. Uses others views to explain the task and doesn't complete task on own for any of the steps. Student damaged equipment or broke tool.
Did Not Meet
Student lacked interest in demonstrating knowledge of project and/or process.
Student had no idea what the tool or equipment is used for and could not perform the task given.
Thoroughness
Excellent
Student paid attention to detail, worked in an organized fashion, tools and equipment were cleaned and accounted for. Work area was clean, neat, and organized after the task was finished.
Good
Student missed 1 item, work area was not restored for the next user. He/she was slightly unorganized during task, 1 tool was misplaced. Work area was slightly dirty or messy after the task was finished.
Approaching
Student missed 2 items,
work area as unorganized and at least 2 tools were misplaced or left out. Work area was dirty and better care could have been taken in restoring work area for next user.
Beginning
Student missed 3 items, work area was very unorganized and at least 3 tools were misplaced or left out. Work area was very dirty, student did a poor job at restoring area for next user.
Did Not Meet
Student missed 4 or more items and did not include organizing at all during the task. Multiple tools were left out or equipment was not put away. Work area was messy and needed to be cleaned by someone else.
Proficiency
Excellent
Routinely used time well throughout the project or assignment to get the job done on time. Student used 15 minutes or less.
Good
Used time fairly well throughout the project.
Student finished his/her task within 16 minutes.
Approaching
Procrastinated somewhat but did get the job done within 17 minutes.
Beginning
Was unable to adequately meet timeline and took 18 minutes to work or finish his/her task and assignment.

Student showed no interest in completing project on time.
Student did not finish his/her task within the time allotted for the assignment.
Safety
Excellent
Student used PPE 100% of the time during the task/project/assignment.
No warnings were given during assessment. Student took extra precautions during task to ensure minimal risk or injury during the activity.

Student used PPE most of the time. A verbal safety warning was issued during the assessment or the student overlooked/forgot a safety precaution during the task.

Student used PPE sometimes. At least two verbal safety warnings were given during the assessment.
