Students will write a minimum of 3 paragraphs using information from our short story, Charles. Each paragraph must have a topic sentences and supporting details. Each paragraph must be a minimum of 5 sentences in length. Spelling and grammar must be correct.

There were two clear cause and effect paragraphs that showed the words that Laurie used to convince his mother that Charles was a real person. Textual evidence was clear and backed up the cause and effect style of writing.

There were two cause and effect paragraphs, but the explanations/text evidence could have been stronger to back up the style of writing.

The cause and effect paragraphs were difficult to see how the details backed up the topic.
