Content How long is the essay and how relatable it is?	Poor Essay is less than 1 paragraphs. Personal example is missing.	Fair Essay is less than 2 paragraphs. Personal example is either missing or is unrelated.	Average Essay is less than 2 paragraphs. All questions are answered, majority is correct. Personal example may be unrelated or partially missing.	Good Essay includes two paragraphs. All questions are answered, majority are correct. Student provides a good personal example.	Exceptional Essay includes at least 2 paragraphs. A good personal example is included that directly relates to the topic.
Style Does the student write in a chronological order and in a way that makes sense? Are there any grammatical errors?	Poor Essay makes no sense and is written with no style. More than 9 grammatical errors are found.	Fair Student writes out of order; essay is difficult to read and understand. Essay has 7-8 grammatical errors	Average Student writes out of order, but the essay makes sense all in all. Essay has 5-6 grammatical errors.
