The student answers in complete, well-answered sentences. the response must fully answered the question asked.
Comprehensability

The teacher has no idea what the student has been speaking about.

The student is saying a few sentences per minute. The conversation has a few mistakes, but the point comes across.

The teacher understands the majority of what the student is saying. The sentences make sense and the student is making an effort.

The student can carry on a conversation with smooth transition between sentences. The sentences make sense and the teacher understands what the student was talking about.
Quality of Communication(Accuracy)

Poor

The student is using no vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and is showing no effort. The answers show no understanding of the topic.
Fair

The student is using basic grammar and vocabulary. Some of the grammar and vocabulary is incorrect. The pronunciation is mostly incorrect.
Average

The student is using some grammar and the pronunciation is correct about half of the time. The vocabulary is average, but correct.
Good

The student uses slightly advanced vocabulary. The grammar is correct and the pronunciation is correct despite a few mistakes.
Great

The spelling and grammar show understanding of the topic and there are details supporting the topic. The pronunciation is good and mostly correct.
Excellent

The student is using the vocabulary that has been learned somewhat recently. The pronunciation and grammar are mostly completely correct.
