Sustained Silent Reading Sustained Silent Reading This rubric will evaluate the student's participation during Silent Sustained Reading, as well as their response to their reading. Sustained Silent Reading
	Poor 10 pts	Fair 15 pts	Good 20 pts
On Task	Poor Student spent time looking around or doing anything but reading.	Fair Student spent most of the time reading.	Good Student spent all of the time reading.
Respect for Others	Poor Student made noise or moved around and bothered others.	Fair Student did not make any noise, but did move around some, but did not seem to bother their neighbors.	Good Student did not make any noise or unneccesary movements and did not distract their neighbors at all.
Reading Log	Poor Student did not fill in their reading log after reading.	Fair Student sometimes fills in their reading log, but I still need to know more about what they are thinking as they read.	Good Student is going into detail about what they are reading/thinking as they read; Student completes all reading log entries.
