Making a Car Making a Car Start Your engines!!! You are to make a toy car using household materials only. Your car shold be able to compete in a race against other students in the class. 	Novice 2 pts	Amateur 3 pts	Professional 4 pts
Design	Novice has a body with wheels use recycleable materials has at least 3 wheels	Amateur has a body with turning wheels use recycleable materials has 4 wheels	Professional has a body with turning wheels and in proportion. use recycleable material has 4 wheels
Modification	Novice no or little modification made to car body and wheels with no change or little improvement to performance.	Amateur some modification to the car body or wheels resulting in improved performance	Professional great modifications to wheels and body resulting in significant change in performance of car
Performance	Novice can move up to 50% of track moves in a straight line	Amateur can move up to 75% of track moves in a straight line	Professional can move the whole track at 100% moves in a straight line
Criteria	Novice shows little or no consideration of velocity, friction, weight	Amateur shows some consideration of velocity, friction, weight or momentum.	Professional creator obviously took velocity, friction, weight into consideration when designing this car.
