Biome Project Rubric This rubric will be the grading scale for the student's Biome Projects. Rubric Code: S2XW7WB By MorganWenz Draft Public Rubric Subject: Arts and Design Type: Project Grade Levels: K-5

Biome Project
	Poor 0-5 0 pts	Fair 6-10 10 pts	Good 11-20 20 pts	Excellent 21-30 30 pts
Art Completion Creation and completion of the project.	Poor Student did not complete the project to create an animal based on the biome they were assigned.	Fair Student completed the project but did not make it 3D. The student also did not pick an animal from the biome they were assigned.	Good Student completed the project and correctly chose an animal that fit that biome.	Excellent Student made a 3D animal that correctly fit the biome they were assigned. Student made the animal creative and detailed.
Research on biome Research on assigned biome.	Poor Student did not research their assigned biome.	Fair Student did minimal research on their assigned biome.	Good Student did a sufficient amount of research on their biome.	Excellent Student did extensive research on their biome. This shows in their 3D animal.
Art Critique Brief presentation of their finished projects.	Poor Student did not present their project to the class.	Fair Student presented their project to the class but incorrectly identified which biome their animal fits in.	Good Student correctly identified which biome their animal fits in and presented their finished product. The student had trouble speaking in front of the class.	Excellent Student correctly identified which biome their animal fits in and spoke clearly about their finished product. The student spoke confidently and clearly.
Timeliness Managing time to complete the project.	Poor Student did not finish the project in the given amount of time due to them messing around during allotted time.	Fair Student sloppily threw together their project in enough time. This is shown in their final product.	Good Student managed their time wisely and created a sufficient project in the allotted time.	Excellent Student used their time to their advantage and finished their project in the allotted time. This is shown in their finished product and their presentation.
