French Video Project 
This rubric is designed for a French video presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from the entire year. Students are being graded both individually and as a group. The skit must be videotaped and emailed to Madame Susini by __APRIL 25TH__. *Individual Grades.

1. Pronunciation*

Excellent

Student pronounced very few words incorrectly, making a great effort in pronunciation.
Good

Student pronounced some words incorrectly, with good effort for pronunciation.
Fair

Student pronounced a lot of words incorrectly, with some effort for correct pronunciation.
Poor

Student pronounced the majority of words incorrectly, with little effort for correct pronunciation.
2. Use of vocabulary words

Excellent

Students used many vocabulary words and expressions learned this year throughout their video.
Good

Students used a good amount of vocabulary words and expressions learned this year throughout their video.
Fair

Students used some vocabulary words and expressions they learned this year throughout their video.

Students used very few vocabulary words and expressions they learned this year throughout their video.
3. Grammar*

Excellent

Student had a few grammar points used incorrectly throughout the video, but it was easy to understand their part and follow along.

Student had some grammar points used incorrectly throughout the video, but it did not hinder the overall comprehension of their part.
Fair

Student had many grammar points used incorrectly throughout the video, but we could still understand their part.
Poor

Student had several grammar points used incorrectly throughout the video making it confusing to understand their part sometimes.
4. Fluency*

Excellent

Student presented an excellent French proficiency orally. Student had few to no issues with fluency in their words and lines.
Good

Student presented a good French proficiency orally. Student sometimes stumbled over or mispronounced words and lines.
Fair

Student presented an average demonstration of French fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines several times.
Poor

Student presented a below average demonstration of French fluency. Student stumbled over words and missed or confused lines multiple times.
5. Props

Excellent

Students used numerous props and this helped make the performance in the video very entertaining!
Good

Students used several props and this contributed to the understanding of the performance.
Fair

Students used some props that contributed to the understanding of the performance. The group could have used more.
Poor

Students used minimal props in their video and/or the few props used did not contribute to the performance.
6. Effort and Presentation*

Excellent

The student was enthusiastic for the group video and their part was exceptional in the video. They were very well prepared and had their part completely memorized in the video. It was an excellent performance.
Good

The student showed enthusiasm for the group video. They sometimes used note cards to say their lines in the video, but mostly they were prepared. It was a good performance.
Fair

The student showed effort in the group video, yet this student had to often use note-cards for lines in the video. It was an ok performance.
Poor

The student put little effort into the video. Student's use of note-cards for lines was obvious in the video because he/she did not memorize their lines. It was not their best performance.
7. Creativity

Excellent

The students' video work was very creative and unique! Students worked together in a positive way and it was a good group effort showing excellent creativity and quality work as a grou.
Good

The students' video presentation was creative.
Students worked together with little or no problems, organization and the overall creativity was good.
Fair

The students' video presentation was creative with room for improvement.
Students worked together, but the preparation seemed unorganized, taking away from the overall creativity and/or quality of the work.
Poor

The students' video presented little creativity. Students worked together poorly, video was late, and/or preparation was unorganized, which took away from the overall creativity and quality of the work.
8. Participation*

Excellent

Student actively participated to write, film, and edit the video.
Good

Student usually participated in the different steps to make and edit the video, but could have been more applied.
Fair

Student mostly participated to help in the different steps to make the video. He/She could have been more involved.
Poor

Student did not participate very much within his/her group. He/She did not bring a lot of ideas to the table nor did they actively participate in the video process. They were happy to let the others do the work.
9.Subtitles

Excellent

Subtitles were incorporated into the video and matched the spoken French in a timely fashion.
Good

Subtitles were incorporated into the video, but did not always consistently match the spoken French.
Fair

Subtitles were often not matching the spoken French or there was some incorrect English subtitles for the French spoken.
Poor

Few or no subtitles used in the video.
10. Title & Credits

Excellent

A title is given (in French !) at the beginning of the video. Credits are given at the end of the video including the music used and any other relevant information.
Good

A title is given but it is not all in French. Credits are given at the end of the video but one key element is missing.
Fair

A title is not clear. Also, minimal credits are given at the end of the video and important information is missing.
Poor

Not title is given at the beginning. No Credits are given at the end of the video.
