Student does not know what the rules of the game are after completing the basketball unit,

Student has some knowledge of the rules. Knows the basic, most important rules for the game of basketball.
Good

Student knows almost all the rules if not all. Can help teach others that do not know all the rules about the rules.
Dribbling

Poor

Student struggles throughout the unit to pick up on the basics on how to dribble.
Fair

At times the student uses the correct form of dribbling.
Good

Student has mastered (to a 5th or 6th grade level) the skills to correctly perform this skill.
Passing

Poor

Student struggles throughout the unit to learn how to correctly pass the ball. Does not use the correct pass in the proper situation.
Fair

Student picks up the basic skills to pass the ball but at times does not use the skills properly. Uses the correct pass in certain situations some of the time.
Good

Student passes the ball correctly most of the time if not all the time. Knows what pass to use in certain situations.

Student does not participate in the activity. Student just stands off to the side or runs away from the play when it starts their way.

Student does not participate at times (stands off to the side) or does not work as a team. Trys to do everything by themself.

Student gets everyone involved in the activity. Does not stand off to the side. Works well with teammates.
