Preparation	1 Student is often unprepared for class. Student rarely tunes instrument when entering classroom and is not prepared to start when everyone else is ready.	2 Student sometimes forgets instrument and is not prepared for rehearsals. Student sometimes needs to be told to tune their instrument upon entering classroom.	3 Student attends most band rehearsals well prepared Student usually tunes instrument upon entering classroom.	4 Student is always well prepared. Student always has music organized. Student always tunes instrument when entering classroom and is ready with everyone else.
Practice Routines	1 Student has clearly not spent any time practicing.	2 Sometimes has practiced the assigned music. Plays/performs approximately half of the material well.	3 Meets most practicing expectations. Plays/performs most of the material well.	4 Meets all practicing expectations. Plays/performs all of the material well.
Musicianship	1 Student rarely executes parts accurately.	2 Student sometimes executes plays/performs accurately.	3 Student usually executes parts accurately.	4 Student always executes parts accurately.
