Journal Reflection Rubric
	Excellent 5 pts	Average 3 pts	Unacceptable 1 pts
Response Quality Students need to include at least three examples of why they chose their favorite activity or project from the unit.	Excellent Three responses are fully developed and strongly reflect an understanding of possible opinions and perspectives of survivors as opposed to the opinions and perspectives of the student.	Average Two responses are well developed and reflects a good understanding of the possible opinions and perspectives of survivors as opposed to the opinions and perspectives of the student.	Unacceptable One responses are only somewhat developed and reflects a lack of insight into the possible opinions and perspectives of survivors as opposed to the opinions and perspectives of the student.
Interpretation	Excellent Entry is well-supported with examples from the text.	Average Entry is thoughtful and supported with some examples from the text.	Unacceptable Entry lacks insight and/or support from the text.
