Book Summary and Book Menu This assessment was worth 100 points! Students were required to use a graphic organizer to help them write down their thoughts before they wrote their first draft of a summary of their book. They needed to write the title, author tell where the events took place, and give details about the people and things that happened. In addition they needed to write an opinion of the book. Rough Draft with color editing	Good Rought draft was revised: meaning they made changes to their work. Color-editing was visible using the correct markings.	Fair Rough draft had some revision: meaning they made some changes to their work. Color-editing was semi-done correctly with the correct markings.	Poor Rough draft had little or no revision: meaning they made no changes to their work. Color-editing was not done correctly.
Final Draft	Good The final draft included the title, author, information about the book and an opinion and was done in cursive.	Fair The final draft included some of the information required: title, author, information about the book and an opinion and was done in cursive.	Poor The final draft lacked important information: Was missing some of the following: title, author, the meat of the book and had no opinion. Also was not done in cursive.
Book Menu	Good Choice was done completley and accurately.	Fair Choice was done with some effort.	Poor Choice was not done or done poorly with little effort.
