Evidence/ Citations	Poor Little to no textual support, concrete details, quotations, or examples included.	Fair Attempts to develop and support thesis with quotations and examples from text, but some of the information is not relevant.	Good Develops thesis with quotations and examples from text that are cited.	Excellent Thoroughly develops the thesis with supporting quotations and valid examples from text with proper citation.
Explanation and Analysis	Poor Little to no explanation or analysis of thesis statement.	Fair Explanation and analysis attempt to discuss the thesis properly, but is unclear or lacks depth.
