Literary Devices	Poor Contains 2 or fewer of the literary devices required and/or Tone is nondescript or indistinguishable.	Fair Contains 3 to 4 of the literary devices required. The tone of the poem is clear and evident.	Good Contains 4 or more of the literary devices required. The tone of the poem is not only clear and evident, but is elevated and emphasized by the literary devices used.
Dialogue	Poor Poem is at least 3 lines less than 24 lines or 4 lines over 56 lines.	Fair Poem is only 1-2 short of 24 lines, or 2 lines over 56.	Good Poem follows rules of assignment (24-56 lines).
Mechanics	Poor Contains many errors (7 or more) Errors include: Grammar, punctuation, capitalization, Spelling, and Formatting.
