Spacing and Layout	Excellent work Letters are clearly and evenly formed. The overall word occupies the space of the paper in a balanced way.	Fine Work Letters are mostly clear and evenly formed. The overall name occupies the space of the paper in a fairly balanced way but not totally even.	In Progress Letters are not connected or overlapped. Margins and space around letters is too much or too little, not considered. Font shows some inconsistencies.
Painting/Coloring	Excellent work Letters are well colored with a complimenting background. Finished piece shows colors placed in a thoughtful and eye catching manner.	Fine Work Letters are colored with a contrasting background. Finished piece colors are placed with some thought and an eye catching manner	In Progress Color schemes are inaccurate.
