Still Life Scene Drawing and Value Scale 
On a large piece of drawing paper, you will create a still life drawing scene using your choice of drawing technique, as well as a 7-value scale.

The drawing should include a value scale on one side with seven values that gradually shift from dark to light, with a range of grays in between.

Excellent - A

The value scale is complete, and shows a full range of distinct values that clearly transition from dark to light.
Good - B

The value scale is complete, but does not show a full range of seven distinct values.
Average - C

The value scale is incomplete, and/or does not show a full range of values.
Emerging - D

The value scale is incomplete.

The drawing should contain the each of the values used in your value scale. The drawing should also show the highlights, mid tomes, core shadow and cast shadow on each object.

Six or more values are present in the drawing, as well most all highlights, mid tones, core shadows and cast shadows.
Average - C

Five or more values are present in the drawing, as well as some highlights, mid tones, core shadows and cast shadows. One of these value areas may be missing.

Four or fewer values are present in the drawing, and only some of the four value areas are present.
