Understanding of Course Materials	Poor Student's response to the discussion question suggests that they do not understand the concept being reviewed in the discussion question.	Fair Student is able to define the concept or concepts being reviewed in the discussion question, but struggles to apply these concepts to the question being asked.	Excellent Student is able to both define the concept or concepts being reviewed in the discussion question and apply these concepts to the question at hand.
Personal Insight	Poor Student did not incorporate evidence, theoretical concepts, and main points from course materials (e.g., readings, lectures, etc.) in their response to the discussion question.
